Today we recognize and celebrate the hard work of our bus drivers who transport precious cargo—our students—each day. These unsung heroes brave early mornings, challenging weather, and sometimes rowdy passengers to ensure the safety and well-being of our children.


Earth Day 2024 focuses on eliminating plastic usage "for the sake of human and planetary health." There is a goal to decrease plastic production by 60% by 2040 through shopping sustainably, participating in cleanups, and practicing climate literacy.


Greenback is 1 of 32 schools in TN to receive the Anne Dallas Dudley Gold Award for 100% voter registration and 1 of 2 schools to receive the award 3 consecutive years. TN Secretary of State Tre Hargett, with Loudon County officials Ivy Blair, Shay McDonnell, & Susan Harrison helped make this possible.

April Board Meeting had both North Middle basketball teams honored for district championships, Brianna Alzate & Rebecca Pinkston for attending the TSBA Student Congress on Policies in Education (SCOPE) conference, and Ivy Blair for serving as GBS student board representative.

Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) will be administered to students in grades 3-8 from April 15 – May 3. Make sure students are well-rested and come prepared to do their best! #loudoncountyproud

For National School Librarian Day 2024 let's recognize and celebrate all school librarians do. From helping kids fall in love with reading to choosing the perfect book for a reluctant reader to organizing the annual book fair, this is the chance to make librarians feel special.


Paraprofessionals are often unsung heroes, working behind the scenes and not as visible to parents as teachers and administrators. Today we thank these wonderful people who serve our students and teachers every day!

Congratulations Greenback FFA!


LHS FFA had three state degree recipients honored in a ceremony in Gatlinburg - Ian Tallent, Izzi Watson, and Zeke Miller. Congratulations to all!




The Greenback HOSA chapter won 1st place at the State Leadership Conference and Qualified for HOSA International Conference and Competition in Houston, TX in June. Members are Caden Brown, Olivia Hoard, Karli Hammontree, Marlee Ownsby, and Hannah Bryant.


At HOSA State Leadership Conference, LHS was recognized for their community blood drive efforts.: Peyton Finchum won 2nd in Phlebotomy & will compete at the international conference. Lydia Weaver placed 5th In Research Poster, and Mariana Narvarrete placed 5th in Health.
