Volunteers are still needed for the Loudon County Education Foundation Run LoCo Half Marathon and Elf on the Run 5K on Saturday, December 7.


Students from 20 schools competed in the BXTN Building Competition using a blueprint that included carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Loudon High School (pink) and Greenback School (orange) competed. The LHS team had an all-female carpentry crew and finished 3rd overall.




Each year, TNTESOL recognizes an outstanding ESL Teacher from each region of TN at the Annual Conference and Business Meeting. We are proud that Ms. Heather Watson, ESL teacher at Loudon Elementary, has been recognized as the 2024 TNTESOL East Tennessee Teacher of the Year!


Nov. 11-15 is National School Psychologist Week. School Psychologists apply expertise in mental health, learning, and behavior to help children and youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Thank you for supporting our students!

Tips for Halloween Safety - Oct. 31 is Thursday!







The gas concern at North Middle has been cleared. This was due to a heater turning on for the first time this season. Students are now transitioning back to NMS to continue the regular school day.


As a precaution, North Middle School has been evacuated to Eaton Elementary School due to the smell of gas in the upper gym. Emergency services are on the way at this time to investigate and clear the building.


It's National School Bus Safety Week Oct. 21-24. Remember to stop for school buses when their lights are flashing, stay alert and avoid distractions while driving, and teach kids to wait for the bus to stop completely before approaching. #Safetyfirst
