The Battle of the Bridge Food Drive is underway! Now through Aug. 28, drop off canned goods and donations at your school. Every item supports the Loudon County Good Samaritan Center and helps families right here at home.

It’s more than a game — it’s 100 years of history. Loudon vs. Lenoir City in the 100th Battle of the Bridge kicks off August 28 at 7:30 PM. Let’s make this milestone one to remember.

Celebrating Antwaan Underwood’s Incredible LHS Career
Antwaan is a 3x Sectional Qualifier and 2x State Qualifier, finishing 2nd in the State in High Jump and 4th in the State in the Decathlon in 2026. He’s the first State decathlon qualifier in Loudon High history and holds four school records. A TSSAA Scholar Athlete every year — and now has a full‑ride offer to King University. What a legacy.!

NMS Golf had a standout season! Millie Reed, Kate Young & Evie Brannan were District Runner-Up and the top team at Regionals. Millie Reed went on to finish Top 20 in the State + made the All‑Regions Team!

2025-26 TCAP Highlights

Loudon County Schools has continued to see significant gains in English Language Arts (ELA), math, and social studies achievement according to the latest state and district level TCAP scores released by the Tennessee Department of Education on June 24, 2026. Students receive a performance score based on four categories: “Below Expectations,” “Approaching Expectations,” “Met Expectations,” and “Exceeded Expectations.” Students scoring in the top two performance categories – “Met Expectations” and “Exceeded Expectations” – are considered to be meeting grade level expectations.

English Language Arts (ELA)

46.3% of Loudon County students are meeting grade level expectations in English Language Arts (ELA) compared to 42.3% of Tennessee students.
4.9 percentage point increase from last year’s proficiency rate for third grade, which exceeded the state’s increase by 1.7 percentage points.
5.4 percentage point increase from last year’s proficiency rate for fifth grade, which exceeded the state’s increase by 3.4 percentage points.
3.2 percentage point increase from last year’s proficiency rate for eighth grade, which exceeded the state’s increase by 0.5 percentage point.

Math

50.7% of Loudon County students are meeting grade level expectations in math compared to 40.9% of Tennessee students.
9 percentage point increase from last year’s proficiency for fourth grade, which exceeded the state’s increase by 5.4 percentage points
7.3 percentage point increase from last year’s proficiency rate for eighth grade, which exceeded the state’s increase by 5.2 percentage points.
14 percentage point increase from last year’s Algebra I proficiency for high school, which exceeded the state’s increase by 11.1 percentage points.

Social Studies

51.5% of Loudon County students are meeting grade level expectations in social studies compared to 50% of Tennessee students.
5.7 percentage point increase from last year’s proficiency for sixth grade, which exceeded the state’s increase by 2.3 percentage points.

“These 2026 state assessment results highlight our sustained trajectory of excellence and are a testament to the hard work of our students, teachers, and staff. We are proud that our 3rd grade ELA proficiency rate continues to increase, placing our scores in the top 20% of Tennessee school districts.” said Mike Garren, Director of Schools.

First Lady Maria Lee invites Tennessee students to participate in the eighth annual Tennessee Kids Serve Summer Challenge!

The statewide challenge is open to elementary students from rising kindergarten to rising sixth grade. The challenge begins on Monday, June 1, 2026 and concludes on Saturday August 1, 2026.

The goal of the challenge is to instill in kids a heart for service by asking them to join the First Lady in devoting a small portion of their summer break to serving others.

All students who complete the challenge will receive a certificate of recognition signed by First Lady Maria Lee. The top participants of the challenge will receive an invitation to a carnival celebration at the Tennessee Residence hosted by Governor Bill Lee and First Lady Maria Lee to honor their hard work!
