Special Information about our Veterans’ Day Program, Friday, November 10th.
I’m glad you are joining us and giving us the opportunity to celebrate you and thank you for the sacrifices you have made to keep us safe and protect our freedom.
First, please make sure you sign in with us at the gym.
The program begins at 9:00 a.m. in the gym
Our Veterans are invited to join us for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in the Steekee School Library
We have reserved our Pre K Parking Lot for our Veterans. Veterans, please park in this lot and proceed directly to the library entrance for breakfast. (This is the parking lot which is to the right of the main building as you are standing on Steekee School Road looking at the main building). Staff will be positioned at the entrance to that parking lot to assist and guide your.
All other guests and visitors, please proceed directly to the gym.
At the end of the program, you will have the opportunity to take pictures with your children/grandchildren or special Scout friends.
Steekee Scouts are collecting new and gently used/clean winter coats to donate to Karm. If you or your children have coats you no longer wear, please consider donating them. The classroom that collects the most coats will win a pizza party!

Just a reminder: LAUNCH after school program is cancelled tomorrow, so teachers can conference with parents for 2nd 9 weeks progress reports. There will be no LAUNCH after school program, Tuesday, November 7. LAUNCH will resume Wednesday, November 8th.
Just a reminder: Loudon County Schools will be closed tomorrow, November 3, 2023 for staff in-service day. Classes will resume Monday morning, November 6, 2023 @ 7:55 a.m.
Bus 20 is stopped on Vonore Rd. due to an overturned vehicle. Crews are working to clear the roadway so the bus can get through.

Parents and guests are invited to attend and watch the Costume Showcase. We ask that visitors enter through the office after 8:10 a.m., and be prepared to scan your identification (driver’s license) through our Raptor system. If you have not already had your driver’s license scanned, please feel free to stop by the office before October 30th to have your license scanned.

It's Steekee Carnival week! Come join us for lots of fun this Friday from 4 pm until the end of our auction.
Next week, September 25-29th will be a busy week! Please keep these dates in mind. Wednesday (9/27) -Fall Student Pictures: All students will have their picture taken for the yearbook. -Donations for classroom auction baskets are due. Friday (9/29) CARNIVAL- Raffle tickets and money are due by 9:00am. Carnival will begin at 4:00pm and the auction 8:00pm. All next week carnival ARMBANDS will be sold for $20 at school. Check your child’s backpack for additional information about armbands. Beat the carnival lines, buy early! Thank you for your support! We can’t wait to see our Steekee families and community guests on Friday!

Loudon County Schools will close Aug. 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM due to incoming severe storms. Buses will run.
