What is Covid-19?
Coronavirus family is not new. MERS and SARS came from this same virus family. The coronavirus family has a new addition called COVID-19. COVID-19 is a new stand of the virus that is sweeping the world. Since it is a new stand we humans do not have built in antibodies and there is currently no vaccine for this stand.
How is it spread?
Right now, it is known to spread by respiratory particles that leave the sick person when they sneeze of cough.
Can I wear a mask?
Masks will not help protect you from getting the virus. A mask is only effective if the SICK person wears a mask to limit the respiratory particle being spread.
What can we do to protect ourselves and loved ones?
Wash your hands! 20 seconds, warm water and soap and friction
Cover cough and sneezes, throw away any tissues right after use
Social Distance-this is not just to protect you but to protect others as well
