Kindergarten/PreK Info & Registration

kindergarten roundup

Applications will be available for families to download from individual school websites as well as being posted on the Loudon County district website https://www.loudoncounty.org

If you are unable to download an application online – call the school that your child will be attending so they can provide you with a day and time to pick-up a printed registration packet.

Applications are due to the school that your child will attend by Thursday, April 1st. Contact the school for more information on returning completed registration packets.

For Pre-K, the child must be four years of age on or before August 15, 2022.

For Kindergarten, the child must be five years of age on or before August 15, 2022.

For the Pre-K registration, parents will need to provide proof of income. Income verification documents include pay stubs, W-2 forms, Income Tax 2021, unemployment compensation, worker’ compensation documentation, pension stubs, retirement documentation, social security, veteran's benefits letter, child support, alimony documentation, SSI documentation, TANF documentation, foster care reimbursement, Public Assistance payment, TN Care verification.

The Voluntary Pre-K program is specifically funded for children in economically disadvantaged situations. However, we encourage everyone to apply even if they may not qualify as economically disadvantaged because occasionally there are student openings after the economically disadvantaged children are placed in the classes.

Kindergarten registration will take place virtually for each individual Loudon County School based on family address and school zoning. The student's legal guardian/parent must complete the forms for registration and return the forms to the school the child will attend in the fall.

For both Pre-K and K registration, parents will need to include the below documents in the registration packet:

A state certified birth certificate or alternate documentation such as, religious, hospital, or physician’s certificate showing date of birth, or an adoption record, proof of residence in Loudon County (utility bill or similar bill, renter's agreement, or property tax notice with a matching guardian’s official identification). If the child is already 4 for Pre-K or 5 for K they will need to bring their immunization record and medical examination/physical papers. The medical exam/physical papers can be obtained at the child’s pediatrician's office. If the child was born in the state of TN, the birth certificate can be obtained from the Health Dept. or from the state website. There is usually some difficulty obtaining doctor appointments and birth certificates at the last minute, so we encourage parents to plan ahead for these needs. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Pre-K Instructional Supervisor, Marvin Feezell, at 986-2036 ext. 14606 or [email protected] or the Elementary Instructional Supervisor, Maria Warren, at 458-5411 ext. 1013 or [email protected].
