The FRC program is built upon the foundation of collaboration. A guiding principle in the development of the FRC program is to be community focused – we are to collaborate with other entities in order to more effectively serve the needs of our students and their families. Our FRC is to be a “broker of services” – connecting students and their families with the resources they need to be successful. It is not the sole purpose of our FRC to develop a spirit of providing direct-services, but to enhance students’ abilities to succeed in school by developing and sustaining partnerships that promote: Early learning and successful transition into school; academic achievement and well-being, graduation and to transition into adult life.
Our Family Resource Center and its Advisory Council is the key to assuring that collaborative community input and involvement occurs in the planning, implementation and oversight of the Center’s activities. The FRC Advisory Council helps the FRC to accomplish its mission:
We will assist in the graduation of college and career
ready students through rigorous and relevant learning opportunities
and positive relationships.
