PBS Partners with TDOE

The Tennessee Department of Education has secured a partnership with the state’s PBS stations to deliver daily instructional content for Tennessee students during COVID-19 school closures. This partnership will provide all students with access to daily learning opportunities right in their own homes. Starting April 6, local PBS stations will deliver two hours of programming with high-quality instructional content from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST. Four hours of content will also be streamed overnight, which viewers can watch live or record.

COVID-19 Update - Schools Closed until April 3, 2020

Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation and the Governor's statement, the decision has been made to keep schools closed through April 3, 2020. All athletics and extra-curricular activities at schools will also be cancelled. We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the upcoming weeks, and additional guidance will be forthcoming.

3 Day Food Distribution on March 25, 2020

We have a change in our food distribution schedule and wanted to make you aware. Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25, we will be distributing 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches at the drop-off points. This will lessen the number of times parents have to get out of the house and drive to pick up food. There will not be food distribution on Thursday, March 26 or Friday, March 27. We will update you on the schedule for next week before Monday, March 30. We love our students and hope all are staying well.

Nutrition and Medication Announcement

Loudon County Schools believe it is important to continue to provide meals for our students as we move forward through this school closure. For this week, March 17-20, free grab and go meals will be available from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at Highland Park Elementary, Loudon High School, Greenback, and Philadelphia Elementary. Any child under age 18 is eligible for a free meal, but the child must be present to claim the meal.

In addition, we realize parents may need to pick up student medications from the clinic. School nurses will be available Wednesday, March 18 from 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for parents to come in and collect their child's medicine.
