Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT)

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act allows children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school to receive extra food benefits. These food benefits are called Pandemic EBT or P-EBT benefits. The benefits are designed to
help cover costs associated with days children would have been in school; therefore, the benefits help families in Tennessee buy food when school is closed. P-EBT benefits are additional benefits that do not replace any child nutrition program meals being offered. Children may continue to receive "grab n go" meals or emergency food at COVID-19 emergency feeding sites offered by schools and community locations, even if they receive P-EBT benefits. Loudon County School Reopening Plan

The Loudon County Board of Education voted last night July 9, 2020 to approve the district School Reopening Plan. Loudon County students will return to school August 7, 2020. Our number one priority remains the health and safety of our students while being able to provide appropriate academic instruction and meet students’ social-emotional needs. Registration dates for traditional in-person instruction will be communicated by individual schools. All parents opting for Virtual School, an alternate technology-based option with the same expectations as related to instructional time on task, attendance, and grading as in-person learning in a 6.5 hour learning day, must register online by July 17, 2020. The links to both the Reopening Plan and pre-registration for Virtual School can be found on the Loudon County web site.
