Loudon County Schools will offer a Virtual School choice for 2020-2021 to families as an alternate technology-based option with the same expectations as related to instructional time on task, attendance, and grading as in-person learning in a 6.5 hour learning day. The students learn at home using a school-owned device. Florida Virtual School learning modules will be utilized monitored by Loudon County teachers, but not necessarily a teacher from the student’s zoned school. The Loudon County teacher is certified in the subjects they are monitoring, check in with students daily for attendance, monitor student online work, provide additional feedback or instruction as needed, provide additional assignments as needed, assess student learning and enter grades in Skyward student management system. The Florida Virtual School curriculum aligns with TN Academic Standards.
